There cars are obvious rip offs , under powered poor performance and cheaply made . But as the infamous trio point out , the Chinese are making so many advances they will probably take over the lions share of the market eventually .

Japanese and Korean manufacturers used to do similar back in the day, and now look at them.

Chinese car designers seem to take curves, lines, and details from other cars then put them onto their prototypes seemingly with no appreciation of beauty.
It's why most Chinese cars look wrong. A bit like playing all the right notes but in the wrong order.

I had a friend who worked for Ford as an engine development engineer.
He was involved in a project with Chinese car manufacturers which was pulled by the Chinese but only after products had been developed to a point whereby they could just go off and make them themselves.
