I.T.V or B.B.C?

Over there
I'm watching sherlock and shows like this keep me clued to the B.B.C and make me quite happy to pay the licence fee and not watch the light entertainment channel. My mates think I'm a snob but apart from football or the odd film I very rarely watch I.T.V.
What's your choice?

I hardly watch any TV but listen to a lot of radio & the license fee is great value just for that.

Me too.

If it weren't for the kids and wife I'd get shot of the TV tomorrow. You don't have to pay the license fee for just the radio either, although I never object to paying it as the BBC is a fine institution that we should all be very very proud of.

both.

bbc - eastenders, top gear, the apprentice, match of the day, 6 nations rugby
ITV - champs league, x factor:moo:, im a celeb:moo:, celebrity juice (still an ITV channel)
channel 4 - 8 out of 10 cats, come dine with me, the inbetweeners

sky sports is the most watched though - football, cricket, golf, boxing

I astonishes me how much grief the BBC and the licence fee get, often from people who are happy to pay far greater sums to Sky. I'd say the beeb is the thing I miss most since moving abroad. I'm back in England for christmas and new year, and I'd forgotten how crappy (most of) ITV is. I mean, "The Nation's Favourite Beegees Song"? Lord Reith must be spinning so fast in his grave he's in danger of making a tunnel.

An hour and a bit of big Pat Evans slowly perishing hammily followed by Holmes, which is bloody enthralling, make the beeb my perfect channel. Throw in some good docs on BBC4 and some european crime drama and you're onto a 100% winner. At present they have some film classics on iplayer too which i have to spend some of the week getting through. I Walked With A Zombie should be a beauty.
I doubt i've been into ITV since Tom O'Connor left Crosswits.

Anything but ITV.
Except for England games when unfortunately they wheel out the non-controversial bore and supposedly 'cerebral' Southgate.
