I was there, aged 15, with a Gillingham-supporting friend. We were both at school in Hertfordshire.

Remember getting in late and being a bit too close to comfort to the row of police horses at the back of the terrace.

Recall an Albion fan climbing up the mesh separating the sets of fans and getting pretty high up.

It was my second away game.

My Arsenal and Tottenham school mates couldn't believe that 'little old Albion' could be part of such a cauldron of hate!

Great memories, my youngest was just born, and another victory on the way to promotion.
It really should have been more comfortable, but there some terrible penalties there, especially Pembertons.
We were on the cusp of a few great years, with a great team and manager.
RIP King Kelvin !

I was 18 - first away game I drove to ! Don't recommend being sober on such occasions !
