When we played last time at Elland Road he was so confident that they'd spank us, and we practically out-played them for the whole match for like 88 minutes, so hopefully we'll do it again next season.

When I walked back to the coach one of the local mounted coppers said he had heard we were the better team.

We deserved to win that, I remember that though because the next day the newspapers were all completly biased towards Leeds and Ken Bates :tosser:

i remember watching the championship and it was all focused on David Healy as he scored the winner against England the same week, but Leon Knight did deservidly (sp) make News of the World team of the day with a 9.

Best game ive ever been too that one.

as i walked out i spoke to one of the stewards and he said he loved it when Leeds lost, i then informed him that it was actually 3-3 to which he said bollocks, which made me laugh.

He was probably a Huddersfield or Bradford fan.

Feel sorry for Dennis Wise though as he's always been one of my favourite players. Top bloke and a lovely bloke off the pitch. And yes I know be beat up a cabbie ONCE.
And broke a fellow team-mate's jaw for losing at cards.

Never really understood why people on here have started hating Leeds ?

If I had to make a list of teams (and their fans) who really get my back up Leeds wouldn't be on it.

For me it stems from being married to a Leeds fan (my ex) and working in Leeds with them.

All other Yorkshire clubs hated them for their arrogance.

Then you've got a very good reason :lolol:

Personally, I can't abide Southampton and "posh" Fulham fans who have all of a sudden started supporting them because they think there are still a "little" team.

In fact ANYONE who supports the likes of Manchester United or Liverpool but isn't from the area.

I work with a few and they talk to me like we (as fans) are one and the same.

Nothing worse than them comparing their experience of sitting in front of Match of The Day to mine at the Withdean AND THEN USING THE EXCUSE of not being able to afford to go.

I dont even bother going into football debates with so called fans who dont even go to watch the team they reckon they support, And I work with loads of them.

I went with my ex to watch Leeds in the 60's and 70's when they really were a top team under Don Revie although we parted ways when Brighton were playing up there and went in opposite ends.

I can still remember the sneering when we drew Liverpool in the FA cup, in later years, from my colleagues, saying 'You don't think you're going to get to Wembley do you?'

Um, yes. :dunce:

We are champions, champions of Europe! :clap2: :clap2:

It's dismal at Leeds! Hiney the ticket prices will change next season since we will be rid of our £13m a year wage bill and Bates says £37.50 will not be the price. He's said a lot of things but that just may be truth since he has done good by the kids prices as he promised.

Paddy is off to Cyprus today to watch us play our mid season training camp and friendly and is more than ready to give a few of our overpaid wasters a piece of his mind.

Still, lowest position in 87 years. The only way is up, right? :( :(

That would be interesting. I wonder if there are any clubs that have lowered their ticket prices significantly in a permanent/semi-permanent fashion.

There are tickets far cheaper than £37 aren't there Starry?
