Love all his films. A wonderful actor in the same sense of those during the Golden Age of Hollywood. As funny as Cary Grant, David Niven and many others and Capt. Miller in SPR was a role made for him. RomComs are a piece of cake for Tom. There are films out there with him in them that I haven't yet viewed and may well contain a turkey or two but I haven't seen a Tom Hanks film yet that I didn't enjoy.

Is there even such a thing on terrestrial non streaming TV these days? Either way pretty certain he was left thinking wtf?!

He spent the interview praising the BBC. The One Show gets 2-3million viewers per night.
Late night talk shows - which are equally diverse in their guests and he appears on regularly - in the US - eg The Tonight Show - get similar. So i doubt he even batted an eyelid.

The Green Mile and Philadelphia are my favourite films of his, and he is fantastic in both.

Always got the sense that he's a nice person, with little of the Hollywood superstar ego about him.
