Resurrection: Ertugal.
198 x 45 minutes of the founding of the Ottoman Empire. Forget the obvious nationalist themes, the massive pro - Muslim script, the occasional, quite often dramatic slow motion clips, it actually really isn’t bad.
I learnt so much about the Muslim religion and the roots of Turkish history (Something I knew zilch about) plus it goes on forever.
Added advantage of interesting and sometimes vague subtitles :)

One vote for Homeland here.
Realise I'm eight years late. Only got into it after picking up Seasons 1 & 2 in a charity shop for 50p a go.
Then realised I'd got hooked so got 3 & 4 before discovering the whole caboodle is on Netflix.
It swings from ridiculous to gripping and there are lots of explosions.
One or two good twists, though it's no Chubby Checker.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned or if you can get it over in the UK. But This Is Us is bloody fantastic.

Mandy Moore is pretty easy on the eyes too.
