Why are we wasting his time with yet more emails!? Surely it's exactly the same response as for this game? A very large amount of the seating is set aside for sponsors!! What more detail do you expect?

The detail people would like is something, just something, to JUSTIFY this stupid and frustrating approach to ticket sales.

Most casual purchasers of tickets want at least a pair and often a small group together. At the moment we make no effort whatsoever to accommodate these people - we turn them away.

He is on record as saying that seats all over the ground are set aside for sponsors/comps/broadcasters etc. For every game S1E and S1F are not put on sale when the rest of the tickets are, therefore there are 1380 seats in these 2 stands set aside every game, of which we all know full well, very few are actually taken up, because we see those stands empty, half empty, and certainly never full, game in, game out. Add to thtat all the other seats he mentions that are also allocated to these mysterious people around the ground for the same reason, there must be 1500+, do we allow so many to be handed over, only for them to be handed back? Whilst at the same time, potential fans are put off buying becasue they want to sit in a group together.

Block S1E has 730 seats
Block S1F has 650 seats

I agree emails are futile, he'll stick to his story now. But, anyone believing all those seats (I'd say at least 2000) currently not on sale for Wigan (and Donny) game are down to Sponsors/VIP's is extremely gullible

I happen to know someone who works for one of the major sponsors in a senior capacity, and there are a very large number of tickets allocated to them for sale amongst staff for each game. Now the take up of this has tailed off over the past two years, I assume the club would like to renegotiate that particular allocation. But the sponsor wants to maintain their allocation in case of promotion to the premier league.

It would appear from PB's note that their ticketing system is not without problems as well which clearly exacerbates the issue.

In which case how many different sponsors are we talking about? How many seats does each sponsor get? And do they really want to sit next to the away fans? If we assume there are, say, 20 sponsoring companies with at least 1300 seats between them, that's 65 per company. Do they really have that many clients each game who want a freebie?

They can't even use the away fan reason for Wigan as there isn't a chance in hell they would bring more than a 1000.
