I saw him about 18months ago at Wembley with Emmylou Harris.

Have to say I found some of his stuff cringeworthy, and craved more from EH.
Her voice sent shivers down the spine.

Oh well, good excuse for an Emmylou vid I suppose;

A mention of the NSC music Nazis and shortly afterwards the Fuhrer himself turns up :(:p

Went to the Knopfler gig last night. Firstly the acoustics in the Albert Hall are the best I've ever heard.

The actual gig very good - the bloke is a guitar god, a few Dire Straits songs mixed in with loads of his solo stuff.

No Emmylou Harris I'm afraid but Joe Brown did make an appearence for a few songs which was brilliant.

I bet that it'll be a far better evening than so many of today's crop of here today gone tomorrow performers.

I've just won 2 tickets to see Mark Knopfler at The Albert Hall next month. Should be a cracking night plus I've got one of the boxes not just your ordinary seat. :clap2::clap2:

Lucky You! I'd love to go to that!

Saw him a good many years ago with Dire Straits at Wembley Arena, a few days after Live Aid. Found him a lot livelier than on record, guests were Dave Edmunds, Hank Marvin and Paul Brady.

Whilst not a mega fan I enjoyed it. Love the track "Sailing to Philadelphia" which he did with James Taylor a few years back.
