Definitely not. I would have thought you could have got a job anywhere. Have you tried the Civil Service - it may sound boring but I know they recruit direct entrant Executive Officers with, I think, 3 A Levels. You usually need English though, or so I believe.

You can apply to any of the London Civil Service Departments - Ministry of Defence, Cabinet Office, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Education (name changed so not 100% sure what its now called), or the Home Office, including Immigration in Croydon. Type in one of the department names into a search engine such as Google or try typing in Civil Service jobs.

You could try the Paymaster General's Office in Three Bridges. It's in the Civil Service, or at least it was, tho now it's called Paymaster! or somesuch.
