I've lost notes over the years but I got some payback last month.

I was in the duty-free departure shopping mall at Manchester airport [on route to holiday in Cuba] when I saw £30 quid just sitting on the shop floor, with nobody nearby and no obvious candidate to return it to. So I continued browsing but stood right over the dosh, waited a few seconds, they swiftly bent down scooped the cash and carried on inocently browsing. After a few minutes, slowly walked out of the shop. My conscious was battering away at me all the time and I kept looking around half expecting a store detective to put a hand on my shoulder.

Anyway, it was only a small discount when I found out the missus had spent £234 on duty free - at least we'll both smell nice for a while.
