[Albion] I don’t want this season to end

What a season this has been. Record breaking in so many ways.
Highest position
Number of games won
Number of goals scored
Players at the World Cuo
A World Cup winner
FA Cup run
A great start, followed by big disappointment, but soon realisation that we’d got better.
One or two hiccups but overall a wonderful season.

Can we match it or get better next season?
Will we keep any of our favourites?
How many will we lose this summer?
Most importantly, will we keep Roberto for the season?

Who knows? I have loved nearly every minute of it.
Up the Albion. :bloom:

This. If it was GP leaving, I wasn’t disappointed. I was angry and then I got over it the moment RDZ arrived.

I agree with the rest though.
I was angry with Potter. My explanation has been posted.

Newmarket.
This season will be remembered.
As either our best season or the one that started us on the path to sustained big six (league position) stardom.
I just love the fact that we can now trouble the Stars of the Premier League.

On Talk shite this morning they were talking about our late season tonking by Everton, commenting "who saw that coming"
Rewind a few years and the thought that nobody could foresee Everton beating us would seem ridiculous.
Now, despite the opposition, we give as good as we get.
Little old Brighton and Hove Albion. Pebbles and rock.
Turning the big boys over since 2022/3
Long may it continue.

Please.

Agree, I found it all quite exciting very interested to see who our great owner would be employing next. Yet again he didn’t let us down.

Fair enough we all see things differently

Bruno and Ben Roberts leaving. I really believed they were loyal to us. My mistake.
Great thread Thunder.

I felt more anger re Roberts and Bruno, particularly Bruno as he really was one of my all time favourites.

All forgiven now, and I would love both of them to come back one day. They’ve learnt their lesson….. Going to a smaller, mid-table team, so silly of them 😉

So good to be smug 😂👍

The players need a break TB :). Only 2 days until the USA tour then back into preseason training.

On a slight tangent, many of us are old enough to remember when seeing even the smallest article on us in a national paper or football magazine was something precious to behold. Now we're frickin everywhere :lolol: Us fans need to reset too, have a break... then again maybe not :amex:

I share the OP’s sentiment. It’s like having been on a fantastic holiday and we are just about to get the plane back home. Still, much better to remember it as a fantastic trip and wonder where next our adventures will take us. The excitement of knowing who we will be playing in Europe, after Alexis goes ( which I think we are all resigned to) who of our big players we manage to keep, who we can bring in to bolster the squad. Who will be the next South American youngster we attract etc.
We’ve also got the hope that we’ll see Dunk in an England shirt again.

Can we break anymore records today?

I know Pascal Groß needs one more goal to become the club all time Premier League top scorer.
Not a record as such but if we score two or more goals against Villa (and Man City don't score more than us in their game against Brentford) we will finish the season as the highest scoring side away from home.
