I think I have been bitten by a spider! It isn't like any other bite I've had before, it is really painful, hot to touch and there are two little puncture marks! According to some colleagues and my housemate it sounds like it could have been a spider.

I absolutely hate spiders!

Seriously? In the UK? Blimey, I wouldn't have thought there were any native spiders big enough to have the fangs for it.

Yep! Two of my colleagues showed me scars they have from spiders and you can see tiny puncture marks. Both were bitten in Brighton!

I have been smothering it in bite cream, but the instructions say it can't be used for more than three days. I guess if it doesn't get any better in the next few days I will have to go to the doctors as it just seems to be getting more and more painful.

False widow mate, been in the UK years, breading like mad at the moment also, it venomous but just does pretty much what Brighton Girl said, the only thing it can sometimes cause heart palpitations but thats pretty rare.

There's only one explanation for it. You're turning into Spiderwoman! :lolol:

I was bitten by a house spider last week, it was a nasty experience and caused a painfull ache all around the area of the bite for a good 2 days.

I was even more pissed off when I realised that despite being bitten I had gained NO super powers of any kind whatsoever. I feel betrayed and let down and as such have systematically eradicated all visible spiders in my house and surrounds.

Bastards.
