CKR has to have a start with Jake I think. If that doesnt work, back to Leon.

Are you quite sure? Jake was garbage was night - although a bit quiet in patches, Leon was far better. What exactly did Robinson do to merit a starting place on Sat? Seriously? I really do seem to be watching a different player to some people.

I dunno.....Hammond is like chippy, i think he is one of our strongest midfield players !!

Hammond had a terrible game last night and was extremely lucky to stay on the pitch.

Edited to add that CKR seems to lack concentration for the whole 90 mins but does really well as a sub.
That said Jake didn't have such a good game. It is a difficult one to work out as when Jake can get the space, he has the pace but can CKR play as well for a whole game?

Jake is learning the game as is CKR, the more experience (seasons) the better they will get. Maybe McGhee thinks Jake needs a really good run in the team. I do know what Repugnant Toad means though, Jake has had good games but has easily as many poor games. If we had just spent £100,000 on Jake would we be as forgiving ?

We do have a poor record in signing strikers under Magoo. Trolley and Turienzo have been very disappointing, although you can't expect much with our budget.

CKR does have promise though

I would like to see CKR start with Jake and Leon subbed. I just want to see how the two youngsters will cope with each other. It may not work though as there so alike and the same age that they will cancel each other out.

'Tis what happens when you put teenages together.

I don't think Hammond didn't have a terrible game. His first touch is often poor - which is something he needs to work at. But he was always involved, wanting the ball, closing down, and when he got the ball was looking to start attacks.

Frutos was anonymous. A wet Wednesday up north was not his bag - welcome to the Championship mon brave. Carole drifted in and out but lacks a strength.

Charlie was not helped greatly by the rest of his midfield - but it was slightly embarrassing to watch. I like the bloke and he is important to the Club, but last night was not his night.

I do like CKR and his strength was something that was needed. And that was some header.

No way should Leon be dropped, he's been in excellent form. He's our best player. If only he could rediscover his killer instinct as well.
Jakey for all his promise has yet to deliver goals, I think CKR has earnt a starting place (again).

Oatway looked off the pace again after a great game at Palace, give Nicolas a chance?

I think we should try leon in centre midfield again, at shrewsbury he controled the game untill he was placed out on the wing, at derby he virtually played that role as a man marker and was quality then.
Then we could play CKR with either jakey or argie, and we will have some pace in the centre of the park

Must admit I was suprised Jakey came out for the 2nd half. I thought everytime the ball went up to him in the 1st half he lost it.

On the plus side his movement is good. However, he is all right foot, is not really quick and needs to get his head up if he is to progress.

That said he is only young and will get stronger and more aware. I think it is time however, to take him out of the firing line for a bit. In the last three games he has tired badly in the 2nd half and looked a bit out of sorts in the last two especially...

Mr or Miss who ever you are. You said something about me talking about a website when all I did was reply to someone else with a link asking what forum I was on, and then enganged in the debate of CKR.

The only person who hasn't tried to engange in this debate is you.

I'm not being horrible, just reading the facts.

Jakey came off, because he is like Rooney in the England squad. The game was to hard and fast for him, he couldn't last 90 minutes and nor would CKR if he started. He would be subbed by Jake if you get what I mean.

CKR and JAke need time to learn and adjust.
