Media whore that I am I bumped into Andy Whing last night and he told me that Joe was a bit poorly and feeling under the weather. Don't know why he was named as a sub though.

Fairly plausible. There had to be a good reason.

Tch, I wish people would learn.

You can't come on here posting perfectly acceptable and plausible reasons like that. NSC dictates that the ONLY reason Anyinsah did not feature yesterday was because Micky Adams is CRAP and CLUELESS.

Please stop being sensible, this is your first and last warning.

Exactly, what was the point in having him on the bench at all?

The knowledge that we might need him, even as a wounded soldier.
(hats off to the player for availing himself though, despite not feeling well)

It turned out we didn't need him at all..... unless that goal in the 4th minute of added time is going to be counted.....

It's too late to change a match that has already happened.

I thought that not bringing him on was a shocking decision.

Having him on the bench if he wasn't fit to contribute [especially at the expense of having a sub keeper] is WORSE.

And this was a decision taken by a manager who we all hope will lead us to the promised land.

But there were other players on the bench that were better options as right wingers than Virgo.
If he was not fit to play at all then why name him on the bench?

Cox on the bench.
Jake in the stands.
Virgo on the wing.

Its not right, is it.

I'd put Virgo on both wings if it avoided having Jakey starting. I don't know why Anyinsah didn't play though. If he's fit enough for the bench, he should be fit enough to do 10 minutes at the end. To be fair to MA, if it was 2-2 I bet he would have used him, but I suppose a below-par attacking midfielder is not what's needed to defend a 1 goal lead.

you forgot to add that we got to the pub an hour after Joe Gatting and we still beat him to the bar and get served:p

Was a star studied night, with Albion players, Lewes players and Sussex cricketers

Hmm, Cox has been abysmal for a while though and Robinson isn't good enough. Even Fraser would have been a better option than Virgo on the wing though.
