Anyone else amused by all the gushing congratulations when there's a ten percent chance his wife is ****ed.....? Just me then.
What was the expected reaction here?

Congratulations on your rapier sharp wit? Wild applause at your pithy observation?

Maybe think a bit more before posting something like that, there was/is no need.

I take it neither you nor anyone you love have had cancer then?

Mrs Jakarta is half way through a course of very aggressive chemotherapy for her breast cancer and if we knew we had 90% chance of it working we would be utterly delighted.

My wife has just had a Mastectomy and goes back on Tuesday for results to see if it has spread to lymph nodes. Been a fraught few weeks. Wishing yourself and Mrs J all the very best

Unbelievable how common this horrible bloody thing appears to be.

Since the diagnosis in June so many people we know have shared that it has happened to their wives, partners, daughters etc.

Very best wishes to you and Mrs L Gull as well.

You will only now read this disgusting comment as a guest on here now.

Sorry BG that another person made a comment like he did, moving on..........Really pleased for you and your family with the new grandchild and for the news regarding your wife, good luck.

BG is not my favorite poster on NSC.
I lost my first wife to breast cancer when she was in her twenties and we had a four year old son.
I therefore have empathy with him.
You are just a nasty piece of work who is now banned from NSC (Mod edit sorry but to close to the swear filter, albeit I agree with you  Tony)
I would like five minutes with you :moo:

Honestly thought this would be the one thread on NSC where nobody could possibly be a ****.

Appropriate ban.

My mother in law's husband is currently undergoing treatment for lung cancer (he's under 60, never smoked, always been healthy previously etc) and we'd bite your hand off if offered a 90% chance of it working.

Definitely something to celebrate BG, quite aside from the new arrival! A good day.

Congratulations on the ongoing breeding programme and pleased to hear the positive news for your wife.

Strength to both of you as she has her treatment and everything crossed that you get the right result

Ovarian cancer is another one. I've lost two friends in 10 months with that.
