CMS was absolutely useless today, I'd suggest Sami knew exactly what he was doing. I was staggered that the decision was booed. CMS did NOTHING worthwhile in the whole game and although Fenlon didn't do any better, it was worth a try because CMS was contributing nothing anyway.

Apart from his 1st season isn't that usual for CMS

He simply does not have the players to implement his system. Worryingly, we seem to be 6-7 players short of playing the 'Hyppia way', with some current playing staff seemingly not suited to our style. I do not believe this is Hyppia's fault. Bloom appointed him in full knowledge it was a change of philosophy.
I tend to agree, we have gone from 3 / 4 seasons of tippy-tappy keep ball, ok more under Gus than Oscar, using the whole pitch getting the ball out wide and playing 1 / 2 touch to playing narrow and getting the ball forward at pace.
While I prefer to old style of play, like it or not you have to give the manager and players time to change to new styles of play.
The big question is how long?

Whoever we buy it's going to take half a dozen games before they bed in and we start to see the best of them. Doesn't look like our fans are going to give them more than two games before they are pronounced useless and get rid.

There must have been players whom you have watched and instantly thought what a waste

If people are ready to write a player off after only a couple of appearances then they know **** all about football.

I think that's a bloody disgrace. Why bother going to an away match if you aren't going to support your team. Utter embarrassment

This. Just got back from the game and some of the negativity was a disgrace. The NSK especially ****ing awful

This is the so called 'Legendary' Albion away support is it?

Fancy travelling all that way to loudly vocalise such desperate bile

A bit harsh, they've not long been separated from their Arsenal/Man Utd/Chelsea shirts not more than a few seasons ago. It must be hard for them.

depends what you want out of the season I suppose ... are you happy with possible relegation due to a lack of goals, I suppose it makes it exciting but i've seen enough of them. Obika and Lita were sussed after 1 game by most last season

I think the booing was down to the choice of who he brought off. O'Grady was even less effective than CMS. I was more pissed off with half a dozen bedwetters stood behind us who went into panic mode every time Birmingham got into our final third and made girlie screams. When Teixeira came on to replace LuaLua you could tell immediately why he is on Liverpool's books. From LuaLua's demeanour this afternoon I think he will be the next to leave.

To be honest, tactics today were irrelevant, the players could not do the basics.
That comes down to coaching. The team and players are making basic errors and playing with no belief. We were appalling in pre season and it's carried over with no signs of improvement despite what Hyypia says. Even more worrying is what Mark Yates said(read my sig)

He's clueless I'm afraid no idea what it's about in this Division.

Along with 'he doesn't understand English football', your comment puzzles me.

What does it mean? 'No idea what it's about in this division'.

You scout the opposition. You have a gameplan to combat that and a gameplan of your own. I'm struggling to see how this special division requires someone special to manage in it.

Poyet and Garcia had no experience of the Championship or League One, but both faired well. Hyppia is two games in with an incomplete squad. We lost with ten men at home and narrowly lost away.

What is this 'division about'?

You start old experienced players on a new system which they are not used to and it appears to fail. Do you persevere with your ideas losing as you go or revert back to a system they know and can play.

The simple answer is bring in players who can play your system to replace those who cant.

Poyet didn't get instance success, the first few games I remember people moaning (and many games when we were doing well). He needs time and much more importantly new players.

Give the Hyypia the correct tools IE players and then judge him, hardly his fault that the team has been dismantled somewhat

I thought Poyet had experience as a number two at Leeds and Swindon? Then in the Premier league?
He knows a lot about English football and players over here. Garcia was a gamble granted and a very good gamble that paid off.

Agreed, Poyet' system took a fair while to sink in. We had a few shockers in his early reign

First game we tore Southampton a new one at St Mary's in front of the camera's. I will never forget that. We then wobbled a bit like you say before he turned it around.
