Well his injury might delay things. Arsenal are buying one of their young centre backs for £16m and there are a fair few clubs sniffing around Schneiderlin (sp?), who looks a cracking player to me. Going in the other direction, they might be buying Virgil Van Dijk and Ron Vlaar.

In essence a role reversal. Hopefully Sami will know what his starting 11 is and that game will be taken more seriously selection wise.

No, I suppose not as we've also lost some NSC favourites from the starting line-up like Painter, Dicker, Navarro, Barnes and Harley.

Funny you bring this up, I'd be a lot happier if these players were still with us. If only just for numbers....

Yep, I'm happy with Ankers pre-season.

Should have save the first yesterday, got a hand to the ball, but was too weak. More presence than Walton physically (comes with experience), but I think Walton would have saved the first and might have saved the second as well.

If the Stockdale deal goes through that will help.

I think Greer, although in his thirties, is underated by many on here. he does have a presence in defence and is not afraid to make that felt.

I'm not pretending, I don't rate him.

Unlike the panic brigade however, I'm just not taking every opportunity to carp on or whinge or wring my hands in despair as though the the very future of the Albion is at stake and only my incessant moaning will save it.

A new keeper can join at any time. I'll worry if he's between the posts for our opening game but even then, I'll be confident that the club will bring in a better keeper.

Agreed. If we get Stockdale & Ward over the line in the next week / 10 days we're in a good position.
