As this is (supposedly) a football football forum I wondered what people on here would prefer to happen?

England RUGBY team winning the world cup

or

England FOOTBALL team winning on friday?

Way out west
If rugby was being played in my back garden I would close the curtains.

Couldn't give a toss about egg-chasing...football first and foremost.

England RUGBY winning teh World Cup, even though I've got minimal interest in rugger. That has to be more fun than watching England beat Montenegro .... especially when that still leaves open the chance of a draw in the football, which is all we need for automatic qualification.

Point of order, this isn't a football forum, it's a forum for football fans (mainly Brighton). That's why other things get discussed as it would be fuckin' boring if all we said was stuff like "I think Poyet should play strict 4-4-2".

Like Gritt23 I'd much rather see England win the Rugby World Cup than see the football team beat Montenegro. Don't think it will happen though. I also want the Cleveland Browns to win the Superbowl but that ain't gonna happen any time soon.

The football team will struggle through the group then go out in the quarter finals.

I would go with Engalnd win the World Cup Rugby and draw against Montenegro which would mean success all round but had the poll been changed to lose in the world cup or in Montenegro I would have gone with World Cup.

I'd prefer to see England winning the world cup because it is far more meaningful than Englands football match on Friday and i think its always great to have England as champions, whatever the sport is.

Beat me to it. If the only topic of debate was football this forum would be as dull as a forum for the Paint Drying Society.

Definitely winning the rugby world cup. Don't really care about the England football team when we have a foreign manager.

can't abide rugby and still managing to maintain an interest in the national football team so win Friday it is.

Tough one. Not that I would pick England football to win over England rugby - I didn't even know they were due to play.

I don't think Johnno's team deserve to be anywhere near the Webb-Ellis. I'd rather Wales win it (being half Welsh). It would be nice if we tried to play to our strengths as opposed to the way Johnno wants us to play. Ho hum. I don't think it will be an issue anyway.

Rugby is the only main sport in England i don't follow, I watch Cricket, football, tennis and golf but have NO interest in Rugball or whatever it is.
