Lampard is yet another designer manager with little experience. It's a NO from me!

You must have been living in a cave pre season

Chelsea spend 200 million. Chelsea also had a half reasonable team before anything was spent

Albion spend max 6 milion

So? Amount spent is largely irrelevant to my point - he's trying to build a squad and so are we. His inherited squad has a number of players he doesn't want, as did ours. He has had to start using players he wanted to get rid of (Rudiger, Giroud), as Potter did - you shouldn't cut your nose off to spite your face. He needs to get the players out he doesn't want to reduce the bloating in the squad, same as Potter. I see a lot of paralels, albeit a very different job expectation, scale of club and quality of players involved.

Big difference is that Lampard was able to bring in exactly the players he wanted but Potter had to make do with two quality sick notes (both of whom have lived up to their sick note reputation) and a flyer from the Swiss League. If you can’t see that there is a massive difference I am not vaguely surprised you want Potter out, and this debate is going nowhere. We are way too far apart in our opinions and conclusions.

I could understand if someone ran a poll against Rafa Benitez or someone like that. But Frank Lampard ? Seriously ?

I cannot see TB ever wanting to work with TFSW and frankly I’d never want him anywhere near our club either.

I’ve never actually despised any manager we’ve had since I’ve been watching (1987) but if ever any of the following turned up I’d practically stop watching overnight:

TFSW
Pardew (obvs)
Pulis
Fat Sam
Moyes

I don't want Potter out. I want him to continue reshaping the squad in his image, but get better results while he's doing it because our squad is better than we're seeing on the pitch. I think the same of Chelsea, but they're not my particular concern. Potter did a lot of spending last summer to get the players he wanted in Maupay and Webster, adding to our squad without too may leaving. He went into this season with a few more in and around the squad than he would have wanted to have.

My general point is that building a squad takes time, it isn't something you can easily do in the 3 windows Lampard and Potter have had - we're now in the 4th. Klopp needed more time at Liverpool, for example. I think it's harder to get a really tight knit squad mentality with a bloated squad and players not even getting on a 9 man bench. That festers negativity and prevents your younger players developing/getting a chance on the bench. I think we'd be better off culling a few of the fringe players to reduce the overall numbers in the squad.

If Lampard is not capable of sorting out the players he has at his disposal into a decent side then I dread to think how he would struggle to manage our squad.

I remain to be convinced by Potter but I would certainly never want to swap him for Fat Frank.

I think Frank is on the right track. Lots of young players with potential but I suspect the Chelsea fans and management will not have the class & patience to wait for success that has led to managers like Smith, OGS & Hasenhüttl.

I’m really pleased to see that at our own club, the Potter Out Campaign has really hit the buffers. A victory against against Fulham should see it on it’s knees and a good February will see it all but wiped out.

Hear hear! [emoji106]

Wow. You genuinely think I’m Swansman because I support the manager?

Hilarious. I’m sitting here approx 5mins walk from Brighton station. I remind you that most of NSC are behind Potter.

Until we don't beat Fulham. :moo:
