Hurzeler was here for one of our games when FCSP weren't playing (too tired to remember which) and is a huge admirer of everything we have done in the last few years - done brillaintly to get them up again, hope it lasts more than one season :)
I had an article somewhere that he quoted Pep, Arteta and De Zerbi as his inspirations “especially Brighton”. I think he undervalues himself a little - he turned SP round on a limited budget and without some former key players.

They are an incredible and “real” club aren’t they? - I love their commitment to left wing ideals, LGBT etc.
If FB does leave SP before next season, I really hope it doesn’t crush their spirit.

I was speaking to an Ipswich STH this evening who was saying Ipswich fans would have been gutted to lose KMcK just when he got them promoted but they were pretty convinced he showed no signs of wanting to leave..

Btw - what happened to us placing our loans at SP - wonder why they weren’t a loan option under RDZ?

(Ps - it was Spurs that FH watched on 28 December- our 4-2 win probably impressed hi

A firm no to Potter’s return. I’d take either of the other two happily. Potter’s manner of leaving and comments post-leaving preclude any future return. Bridges well and truly burnt.

Good riddance to the fragile young fool. He can take his particular brand of eMoTiOnAl InTeLlIgEnCe elsewhere.

Don’t be afraid. The Telegraph is very reliable for football stories.
I read an interview yesterday with Ny yesterday which was quite recent with Rydstrom in which he seemed to indicate there was nothing in it at all - no approach, all rumours, all from betting odds.

Potter prob safest choice but dont want him back

Hurzeler seems to have more potential than Rydstrom

Rydstrom been in a noddy league. Worse than 2nd div Germany. Not convinced

I’ve no doubt that Hurzeler and Rydstrom are among the best of a new breed of managers out there. The question is, are they ready for the Premier League, more ready than De Zerbi was or Potter was when he joined even? The answer is most certainly, no. It breaks the clubs model. They would have to go on loan for a year first! Maybe we should sign a pre-contract deal for next season.

I like the way they’re not rushing this.
They’re not rushing it because plan A (McKenna/Kompany) hasn’t worked out and the failsafe (Potter) is obviously not interested (for obvious reasons). Not rushing is the propaganda spin. In reality, we’ve put ourselves in a bit of a hole here.

I hadn’t realised the club had moved for Kompany.

It’s only the 7 June. Relax. Better to get the right coach,

The club’s model now requires a head coach to all intents, not an all powerful manager with a big say on everything (Wenger, Poyet up to PB’s arrival). As a result there’s no damage from this short interval, the players are away on their hols or international duty.
