Now what reaction would you expect one of our Premier League officials to take? React in the spirit it was meant or would they brandish the yellow or even the red?

Gazza did something similar years ago.......ref dropped his cards I think, he picked them up for him, pretended to give him a yellow before handing them back. Humourless **** booked him.

Premier League Referee Rule 6.2 -
Any referee wishing for an appointment to The Premier League must first undergo a sense of humour bypass operation. This is an important procedure and is a must for ALL Premier League referees.
So a straight red for the player in that instance.:p

I can think of one referee who'd be FURIOUS with the player stealing HIS limelight like that. A certain red card offence.

Immediately thought of that too but had completely forgotten that Gazza had actually brought it over to him as he'd dropped it. Thought he'd just picked it up.
