"The tabloid claims that while Hughton is reluctant to be shortlisted for the position, he would be keen if an approach is made."

'I don't want to be considered for the job, but yeah I'd take it if you offered it' :ffsparr:

"The report claims that Villa have drawn up a three-man shortlist to replace Remi Garde, comprising Nigel Pearson, Steve Bruce and Sean Dyche."

So where is the story?! What a load of nonsensical bollocks.

Villa certainly going for the glamour approach then, managers who look like they have run into parked cars :)

Oh no, he'll obviously now take his eye off the ball and lose interest in the Albion. Has he asked if he can leave yet, telling TB that today be a good day for him to leave?

Villa must be this season's Reading, except they are even more buggered than Reading were at the time

For the first time in a long time, we're a FAR better prospect than bloody Aston Villa at the moment.

Non story.

Can't see Hughton leaving. Even if we stay down Albion are in a far better shape than that mess of a club.

Hughton won't leave before the season has ended.

If we go up, he won't leave then.

If not, maybe, but no point in thinking about that for now.

CH is EXACTLY the kind of manager Villa need. Someone calm, knowledgeable, experienced with an eye for excellent players at good value who can bond them into a team.

However Villa is EXACTLY the car-crash of a club that CH has no need of.

Not sure why CH would want to leave a club where he is universally supported by the management and where he knows the management have a track record of sticking by their Managers to go to a basket case like Villa where the owner doesn't really care about the club and the corporate management team whose decision making track record is none too reliable.
