I also flipped to Hughton Out after last night. Not going to happen though. If it was, we'd know about it by now.

Just voted In. CH has taken us on an incredible journey, still more to come.

He knows he can turn it around, he is an honorable person and would step down if he didn't think he could take the club forward.

Our club is not just one person, and my voice will be heard away at Wolves on Saturday.

Hughton In. Because presumably those saying out mean now? What would be the point of that? Didn't work for Norwich when they sacked him with 5 games to go, why would help us? WHo would take it for five games? Presumably the same coaches that have helped get us where we are now.

Also, if we go down, Hughton is by far the best manager to bring us up again. No one else comes close.

So keep for now. If we go down, he has two seasons to bring us back up.

If we stay up, he remains with a brief to evolve the team better than he has done this season and I'd give him to Christmas to do so.

Regardless, a 5-0 loss at home to Bournemouth and another loss at home to the odds-on favourites to take the 3rd relegation spot can (surprisingly I know) change things pretty rapidly.

I see no point in sacking him now. Whatever the outcome of this seasons endeavours though I don't want to watch another campaign of this style of football. So goodbye in the summer.

I'm yet to see a fanbase of ANY club in the world who are joyful, positive and fully accepting as their team crumbles and relegation beckons...

Absolute bollocks.

He'd have been shown the door in this league by the vast majority of all other clubs that ever been here since sacking off managers became the thing to do, probably about 10 games ago.

Look back to see how toxic it actually got at Norwich in the same position, way before albion fans ever considered turning. Despite the recent poll on here, from speaking to people I still think the fanbase is 50/50 even after the last 2 games.

He is still here because of what he has done for the club, and how belatedly half the fanbase has justifiably turned is testament to that.

I did predict that our attitude of 'look how far we have come' and 'we have to be content whatever happens because of the dark times', as if history should always define us as sporny minnows, would come to bite us in the arse eventually. Self-righteous, unambitious bollocks and that's coming from someone who spent my teens supporting the albion in the 90's.

Other club's fanbases would not have allowed it to get this far. I don't like the the way it is, I would prefer loyalty to managers and I'm not entirely convinced that the blame is at Hughton's doorstep - but it is what it is and we need to adapt up here if we want to stay. We are supposed to be a club with serious ambition, the fans need to catch up even if we feel it is distasteful to do so.

Regardless, I feel it's too late. The only positive is the lesson will have been learned either way. Let's hope for a swift return where mistakes won't be repeated.

That's not a fair comparison, our fans have been super patient. He's been given every chance to turn it around and has failed. There is a quid pro quo when you play dire negative football.... The fans will put up with it as long as results match very reasonable expectations, when they don't and haven't for months it's not fickle to call for a change in the long term interest of the club.... See Alladyce, West Ham, Everton, Pulis WBA, Hughes, Stoke, Saints. He's had enough time and enough is enough

Dyche got Burnley relegated. They stuck with him, won the Championship, and then in 2 years they finished 7th in the PL.

We're having a bad patch, as Burnley will have done to get relegated. That's football, and it doesn't mean a decent manager suddenly became a bad one.

I didn't vote out JUST because we're fourth from bottom and could well be relegated.

It's because I think Hughton is tactically naive and negative - just as Norwich warned us.

Even if we bounced back from the Championship at first attempt, I very much doubt that would change.

Hughton is a great guy but he’s got to go. There is absolutely no sign of things turning around. He’s always been negative but we’ve turned into a team incapable of even constructing an attack. The only plan seems to be to try win free-kicks in the oppositions half and pump the ball into the box in the hope that a knock down falls our way.

I would be surprised if we scored another goal this season never mind picked up another point.

I don't think he has lost the dressing room, the confidence or the respect of the players, but I do think there is some specific unrest in the dressing room, not directly related to Hughton.

Arguably he should be able to sort that out, maybe he can, but if there is unrest I don't know who will be better placed to sort it out.

Again, arguably there is someone better than Hughton long term, who potentially may have a different style, but I don't think that is a sound basis for sacking.

I did cover both points in my post you quoted but, in addition, if there is unrest how do we know he isn't sorting it out, i.e. that it wouldn't otherwise be worse.

Of course he would, but it is not about all-out attack every game. To be successful on a small budget you have to be organised, that is Hughton's main strength, arguably we were unlucky at Anfield, didn't get hammered by Man City, Utd or Spurs at home.

Chelsea we were poor.

Last season we had pace on the break, this season we have nothing, that is down to poor recruitment in my mind.
