Just as a matter of interest, what was the latest time anyone boarded a tube from Upton Park? Queue was crazy so we took a chance a followed some Hammers walking to the next station, reckon we must have saved at least an hour!

We walked down to East Ham and got on a train no problem at all. Good job as both Upton Park and Plaistow were heaving by the looks of things. Took about half hour to walk down to the station but I think the queuing would have been a lot longer if we'd gone to Upton Park.

Never taken that long to get out of London before.. looked like crap organisation to me.. could have guided both sets of fans northwards to avoid all that double backing.

Always the same at Upton Park, we learnt a couple of times back that the best thing is to walk on to Plaistow station, much quicker way to get on the tube.

It was worse than it looked. When our train got to Plaistow the station was packed so I guess a lot of people went there but hardly anyone managed to squeeze onto the train.

After the phone in, my brother in law and moi went to that fish and chippie and had a sausage and chips.

10 minute walk to East Ham.

Actually walked to the ground from East Ham before the game.

.. we did stop for a beer or two, but wouldn't have had any problem if we hadn't

Some cockney youths told me to "lose myself" as I was trying to get through the queue as fast as possible.

Thought the Queue was going to take hours, but actually we were only in it for about 20 mins. Back at Victoria for 6, so wasn't that bad.

Looked worse than it was!

Thats what confused me cos that's the station i walked to and it wasn't busy at all, and nor was the train that turned up! Can you remember what time you got to Victoria?

A select group of us discovered yesterday that the easiest way to get out was to catch a bus to Stratford and then Jubilee Line it to London Bridge.

No long walk. No queues. 2 minutes waiting at the bus stop. Plenty of seats on the bus. Empty train at Stratford.

And if anyone is looking for the BEST CAFF IN THE WORLD... it's this one:-

A pre-match meal for two, including mugs of tea/coffee - £4.90 (that's £2.45 a head). Marvellous.

We got there not long after 6 and got the 6.36 fast train back to Brighton.

I got the slow 6.17 to Hastings, with 2 minutes to spare.
