Huge numbers not renewing their season tickets

I realise that we in particular need the money.

But I do find myself wishing fervently that crowds WILL start to fall in the Premiership.

Season Ticket and matchday prices are already at outrageous levels- I appreciate there's such a thing as inflation, but the Taylor Report suggested a reasonable price for a ticket in an all seater stadium would be £8.00, and that actually allowed for inflation, if I remember correctly.

£49.00 to watch Chelsea v Bolton?

The same sort of price for a Tottenham or Arsenal game?

It's obscene, yet the clubs get away with it because they know they have a captive audience and a waiting list.

If that list started to waste away, they'd have to do something about it, ie reduce prices to somewhere vaguely close to acceptable levels. I hope Premiership fans desert the game in droves, and show the greedy chairmen/Sky directors what they can do with their prices.

But they won't :nono:

Some has to pay that twat ballck £130k a week. No one makes you go to football so its a bit disingenuous to protest about the cost. Bit like buying a Rolls Royce and moaningh bout the proce of it.............

I've renewed but did so reluctantly, and out of habit.

At the moment there is nothing making me look forward to next season at the Withdean. If Dick Knight had had the balls to sack McGhee and appoint Dean Wilkins, rather than this half-way house we've got now, I would probably feel differently.
