Just a placeholder for any news we get as to who our new manager is bringing in as part of his coaching team.

It doesn’t sound as if he’s necessarily bringing a ready made crew across from St Pauli, so a place for us to post updates as we discover who’s joining him. As far as I’m aware we haven’t confirmed anyone as yet?

Apparently his assistant manager will be a coach/assistant head coach from a different German team to St Pauli.

Puts Hünemeier in the frame, but that's a pure guess.

I dont know anything about coaching or our incoming manager but it would seem sensible to bring in an older more experienced assistant who has been there and done it. Also since we are appointing another tactically maverick perhaps an old school coach like Felix Magath?

Can't he be a player-coach?

How would that work though? If he's fit he plays the full 90 minutes of every game. He also needs to train with the first team to maintain his fitness and for tactical work etc.

If he was playing as many minutes as a Milner/Lallana it could potentially work but not with his current workload.

Andrew Crofts and Jack Stern are staying as first-team coach and goalkeeping coach respectively. Bring back Bruno ...
Nope, any of the mercenaries who jumped ship with Potter can all just stay away... he may be capable of doing a job, but that cohort of money grabbers would simply add too much division amongst the fans, and maybe even the general staff at the club.
