Charlton won't be champions, play-offs at best I think.

Reading will go back up as champions under Steve Coppell, Birmingham will finish second.

How come Mr Cheverton only starts threads but never adds to other peoples?

the peculiar style of english reminds me of another posters piss poor language skills-i know who it is too cos i no the truth
If you're going to criticise someone's language skills, perhaps you should make sure your own message is correct? I believe you missed out the apostrophe in "posters"? And the word "english" should be capitalised? And the word "the" should also be capitalised as it is the beginning of a sentence?

Just a thought.

If you're going to criticise someone's language skills, you'd be well advised to take note of the fact that you shouldn't start a sentence or question with the word "and".

Just a thought.

I was criticising Nemisis' criticism, rather than actually criticising Nemisis.

You're wrong; it is now considered acceptable to start a sentence with a conjunction. Starting a sentence with a conjunction can be tricky. But when used sparingly, it can be effective.

We were always taught at my school that it was wrong, may I ask when it supposedly became acceptable?

I was also taught that you can't start any sentence with "And", and also "Because".
