Huddersfield's run in

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
I see a few banana skins in there run in.
Fulham at home an obvious one.
Derby away especially with Derby having a new manager.
Cardiff at home.Warnock would love nothing more than ruining
Their promotion party.

I agree. Huddersfield aren't just chasing us & Newcastle, but also have Leeds breathing down their necks.

Why? Because everyone is going to win all their remaining games.
No, because we're not going to get promoted by drawing games. We need wins, and Saturday is another option.

Come down from your cloud ☺
I'm on cloud right, and I'm not getting off.

It would take a huge dip in form from us & hudds to bring Dirty Leeds back into top 2 reckoning.
Especially as they have to host us & travel to both Newcastle & Reading.

I think this is a banana skin, so will take a draw. I think we could go undefeated until Villa but will draw 2 maybe 3.

However, Newcastle will slip up 2 perhaps 3 times and Huddersfield will at least once.

Just a feeling......

Hudds fan in peace.
Hello.
I occasionally have a nosey on this board as you tend to talk a lot more sense then some places closer to Hudds, like L666ds and the Wendies.
I'm almost offended.
We also got a soft one against the Toon, but I guess the ref, East, was feeling contrite after gifting Newcastle their first two goals. The handball before the dive for their pen, not to mention the fouls that preceded it
Agreed, should not have counted.
and then the ball was kicked from our keepers grasp for their second.
There was definitely nothing wrong with that one, your keeper barely had it, and certainly didn't have two hands on it. Newcastle got lucky the way they knocked it from you, that's all.

I'd love to see Newcastle having to fight it out in the play-offs, and the pressure is very much on them.
Likewise. I've got nothing against Huddersfield, they play nice football, haven't cheated FFP. Just hope you're not promoted at our expense.

I don't think it was pure coincidence that Leeds, Reading & Wed all dropped points the day after the Albion tore Derby a new one.
I think, on a level, they all automatically looked down the league instead of up and that, however minimally, effected their game.

I think this weekend is big.
If Hudds win & we lose then we really will be on the back foot.
If they draw or lose & we win then we are really in control.
If we match each other results then that be if it's us.

Brighton / Hove actually
Huddersfield currently have 71 points. If they draw 4 of their remaining 10 games, and win the other 6, they will accrue another 22 points giving them a total of 93.

Yep you are correct I thought they had 11 and us 10 games left. I was still in last week mode.

Bristol City v Huddersfield Town - Win
Huddersfield Town v Burton Albion - Win
Huddersfield Town v Norwich City - Draw
Nottingham Forest v Huddersfield Town - Win
Huddersfield Town v Preston North End- Draw
Derby County v Huddersfield Town- Lose
Huddersfield Town v Fulham- Draw
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Huddersfield Town - Lose
Birmingham City v Huddersfield Town - Win
Huddersfield Town v Cardiff City - Win

89 points (same as us last season). I have a sneaky feeling they will lose their game in hand against Wolves. Wolves may still need something to be safe and the pressure on Hudds would be enormous if they needed victory to get level with us or the Toon.

I don't think a win is nailed on against BC, they are battlers and known for scoring early.
Think a draw or shock defeat for Hudds with this one.

96 points, but they will probably lose one extra gave somewhere. That wound still give them 93 points. I think we will need at least that to go up this year. Newcastle are more likely to slip up than Huddersfield.

Birmingham v Newcastle win
Newcastle v Wigan win
Newcastle v Burton win
Sheffield Wednesday v Newcastle lose
Newcastle v Leeds draw
Ipswich v Newcastle win
Newcastle v Preston lose
Cardiff v Newcastle win
Newcastle v Barnsley win

Again 96 points and they will probably lose an extra game somewhere. Overall they are quite unpredictable at the moment. This prediction still means we need at least 93 points...

Haven't they scored more than two only a couple of times?
Yes we were shite that night and with our midfield it was no surprise :)

We had a few good chances and far clearer than Huddersfields chances although I'm not talking about our game with Newcastle I'm talking about in general.

They have won by more than 1 only twice (us and Ipswich).
That's from 22 wins!

Also their performance against the top 8 is noticeably worse than ours:

BHA played 13 - Points 23
HTFC played 12 - Points 15

Clutching at straws, probably.
But it was our performance against the top teams and goals scored/conceded that let us down last year.
Hopefully the same will be true for Huddersfield.

And our goal difference had improved significantly by now (up to 15 or 16) and would pretty much double again before the end of the season. Huddersfield, on the other hand, are third in the league with a goal difference of 8 at this stage of the season. Amazing they've got this far by winning only two games by more than one goal. Suggests there are fine margins e.g. on Saturday they wasted chances to put the game out of sight and then were lucky to get away with a Brentford penalty shout (only saw it once on the Championship show but it looked a good shout).

No chance Huddersfield will have a run of four games without winning.

Easy to call when you get a 50/50 right. Would you have been equally able to do this if you were wrong?

But of course, I always take full responsibility for what I say or do.
I won the predictions thing twice, now that's a word that is never said over here, showing my ability to gauge results looking at the form etc.
I was even more convinced BC might do it when they slipped into the bottom three earlier this week, as their position belies their form.
