More worried about Kuszczak's possible absence than Painter playing.

Crofts maybe injured or got a late bug, who knows. What we do know is he was Poyet's first choice signing in the summer and played 20+ games in the prem last season. Since he has been back he has been a shadow of the player we all know he is.

Well, I'd agree with that which I'd assumed is why he wasn't playing.

Trying to find good things to say about Painter: he does not get beaten on the inside very often (it is too easy to beat him on the outside), he is at least as strong as Bridge in the air against a cross to the far post (last minute gaol against Wolves). He has also got a powerful long cross (usually to an empty space or for a goal kick). He is the conventional left back. Maybe its his last chance to impress.

Wonderful. Painter was good in his day, lets hope today is just like that.
Barnes - last home game he was outstanding. No one asked why he was dropped after that. Just rotation and what seems right for the team we are playing. I expect Dobbie to get on at 60 mins.

I am glad Brezovan is playing today. Can't say the same for Painter or Barnes but looks a solid side to me. I expect it was Crofts vs Dicker for the last spot on the bench and Dicker is more reliable I think.
