I find the whole guard of honour thing a bit noddy to be honest, especially in league one.

When did it start anyway? They certainly didn't always do it.

I've just placed an order for 2000 half and half Huddersfield / Albion scarves. We're almost like twin clubs now. Fantastic.

Colchester did not give us a guard of honour and no one seems to have gone mental about that. It is a little surprising though considering the nice things John Ward was saying about us in the build-up to the game.

As for the above article it was interesting to see what Lee Clark has said following the way he reacted after our game at their place.
Colchester did not give us the guard of honour. Does that put them on a par with Southampton?
I notice no one gave a shit when colchester didnt do one.
Because that wasn't the game after we won the title?

I suppose there's no reason Huddersfield can't give us one if they want though especially as it's when we'll get the trophy.

Being the game not directly after the clincher should not matter, when we won League 2 under Mickey Adams we still had 2 away games left and we got a guard-of-honour at both! For me, if you are to get guards-of-honour then they should be given at every game from once winning the title. At the end of the day it does not matter though, they are not that important.

Albion & England forever.
