I can see the National Anthem ahead of kick off being belted out with even more gusto than usual as it will be the first opportunity for the nation to come together in an outpouring of support. I don't think anybody would be blamed on this occasion for substituting the words "God save our gracious King" for "God save our gracious Princess Royal."

I'd forgotten how good that show was - although EH was always a bit silly for my liking and I guess he set a precedent for future captains such as Willy Carson and Phil "I'm Thick and I know I am" Tufnell.
