Howe long until this home-grown eleven is ready?

We need some experienced players and quick, the old pro's are on the downside of their careers. We cannot expect the " kids " to achieve anything as they are not ready/not good enough. I rate the 3 above.

As much as I'd love us to field a starting 11 of home grown talent.. I wouldn't do it at the risk of relegation.. Although one day who knows. I'd be pretty proud!

"Saying stuff like that about him is not only obviously untrue to anyone who's watched him, it's positively dangerous..."

How

???

But at the moment they are all very raw US. Fraser, Chamberlain, Cox, Robinson, Lynch and Rents all have potential and 5 out of those 6 have not looked out of place when given the opportunity. Chamberlain still hasn't had his chance yet but it will be interesting to see how he gets on.

We have 3 players at the moment worth any money

Hinshelwood
Lynch
Cox

The others try hard but are not good enough if we have any ambitions. Sorry if the truth hurts.

Rubbish. The others need a bit of time to gel. They're all mates and play for each other.

Personally, I love the fact that we have so many local lads representing our club.

If we have a nucleus of Sussex lads sprinkled with a bit of experience we will be fine.

The next one to watch I do think will be Cobbs, he already seems to be stronger than Rents.

Watching Cobbs in the youth team last year and seeing him walking up to training once I couldn't believe he was a 1st year scholar. Very strong, good on the ball, quick, nice left foot and seemed to make all the right decisions. I think he will definately overtake Rents at some point.

Martin and Sullivan are worth money.

Tommy Elphick has been overlooked on this thread - he is a cracking player.

He is very good but seems to have hit a bit of a wall. Reminds me of Dawson but needs to get a bit stronger.

I apologise I may have been a little over harsh , they are trier and may cut it but I geniunely think at the moment only 3 are good enough at the moment and worth any money.

The Bi Polar was not helped by my friend McGhee's sacking and I am now looking at mortgage broking opportunities and flats in the Edinburgh area thanks TLO.

The problem is at best he is 5th in the pecking order, probably 6th.

He is on a 2 year deal, so loan him out for the rest of the season.

I think he is definately a player who will really benefit from some time with a Lge 2 side.

Was it Alan Hansan who said " you never win anything with kids", just before Beckham and Giggs etc went on to win the Prem!

Much as I would love to see a team of home grown players out there, it ain't gonna happen for a hell of a long time, you always need a few older experienced players to steady the ship. Shame though, I'd love to see it.
