Envious but also slightly annoyed with the FFP.

So hoping we beat them tonight but they still have an easy run in and to be honest probably deserve to be champions.

Of course Howe is pretty happy with himself. As a fan you'd be pretty happy with him.
He's done a cracking job there and whilst I'm praying that they ultimately fail in their quest for promotion, I'm nevertheless insanely jealous as to the two clubs respective positions.
I'd have Howe as our manager tomorrow.

Neither here nor there
Were they not so far ahead of us this season I would be wishing them well, but the football snob/tribal idiot/green-eyed monster inside me wants them to fall short.

That said, I'm generally pleased to see "small" teams achieving great things and I'm delighted that Tommy and Steve are doing so well.

He didn't do well at Burnley. He did well with Bournemouth and then left them, having declared the night before that he was going nowhere. Then when it didn't work out at Burnley, he returned to Bournemouth.

Not particularly bothered to be honest.
I think they've spent money they haven't got and have possibly broken the FFP rules
Generally envious as I am of any club at the top of the league and wish it could be the Albion up there - tonight I shall hate them like I hate any club playing mine.
Glad to see Cook and Elphick doing well - a shame that they didn't stay with us.
They've bought well and we didn't which is probably the be all and end all of it.
I'm more concerned with how this season has panned out, hope it ends soon with us still in the Championship and that CH can rebuild in the summer

I don't really give a toss about Bournemouth either way good luck to them, but what does pi55 me off is how it highlights the mess we have made of our chance. They have gone about building a good steady squad gradually improving each transfer window whilst we have dismantled what we had and gone backwards.

They obviously have a good scouting and coaching set up that has given them a promotion chasing side on little outgoings.
Our Mr Burke when he got complete control has put us back years in my opinion, but that is as much down to who employed him as to Burke himself.

And yet people are defending our recruitment policies and decision making like it's an affront on the club to say otherwise on another thread!

Very pleased for them. Small town team done good like brighton.

If they get up to the premiership it will be interesting how they get on with a very limited budget when the likes of Villa and Sunderland with huge budgets struggle.

For clubs going up, there are many tales of woes, like derby and Leicester, but as I said good luck to them.

A mixture of:

Happy- for Elphick and Cook
Annoyed- because they've spent loads whilst we've been feeding off scraps to comply with FFP
Envious- because I wish we were in their position

A true but unpopular view

Back on topic I have tried but I can't help but feel envious, they have shown us how a club should be run on the football pitch, we appear to be more concerned with off pitch matters at the moment. When IS that hotel going up?

We need their CEO, if they can spunk £40k a week wages on forwards on 10k gates then we need that sort of guy running our club

You mean we need a richer owner than the one we have at the moment?

It will all end in tears anyway, like it would have done for us had we gone up last season and ended up with the squad we have now to be honest.
Fair play they have done it, but they are punching well above their weight as Brentford are too.
