What new recruits are these?

I'm worried people are assuming we're bringing multiple players in in January. We might, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if we only brought in 1, maybe 2 at a push.
Could be recruit(s) who knows, I would be astonished if we didn’t bring in a couple based on this years campaign

A lot of people seem to think it's two extra games if we lose tomorrow. I admire the confidence that we'll definitely beat a third place Champions League team in the next round 😀

Personally i think we'll likely play the same number of games this season win lose or draw tomorrow.
There is 2 extra games if we lose, home and away. Technically its away and home as we would be seeded.

I want a win to go to the last 16.
I want a draw to go to an extra European away day. I'm having withdrawal symptoms already.
Either way from a fan point of view it is win/win. From a club, football injuries, rest point of view, it's a win tomorrow.
Whatever happens happens.

Once the Marseille team hear our anthem and see all those scarves held up in every corner of the ground I reckon they will shit themselves silly and we'll be 3 nil up by half time, wether that's enough to win the match is another matter but I fully expect a raucous atmosphere and some really dirty sneaky play from the French, they will definitely target Mitoma and will take a yellow all day long to stop him,I reckon they will play loads of over the top balls for their wingers and try to completely miss out playing through our midfield

Bring it on,attacking they look pretty decent but are gash at the back and vulnerable from set pieces,I doubt they're worried about our corners and free kicks though.
I find it hard to believe we haven't got a specialist free kick taker especially with the amount of times we win them around the 25 yard mark,I'd love to see Buonanotte get a crack at taking one I just have a feeling he could do the job, hard to tell seeing as it seems to be Dunky and perhaps Gross that take them but nothing to lose giving someone else a bash as we're gash at them TBF.

I'd be gutted if we don't win but still unbelievably proud at what we've achieved after that dodgy start,we were definitely in the hardest group so to finish 1st or even 2nd will be superb.

I honestly think l'll be fine with it, it isn't as if we will be exiting the competition if we do lose, it simply means we will have an extra game to play, (not sure if that's home and away).

In any case it's simply a privilege to get the chance to play in Europe, and not something that l ever thought l would get to see. Win lose or draw l'm loving the ride.

Really peed off. I only come over usually one a year and the last time was my Grandson's first game v Villa. Brilliant start but lost 2.1

I think they'll be very wary of us. Don't forget they let a two goal lead slip out of their hands. I also think we'll draw tomorrow.

Not just Saints and Pompey! There's also Bournemouth, Exeter, Torquay and Plymouth who are not as successful in Europe as we are!
Bournemouth are too plucky by half and therefore not to be considered. Exeter, Torquay and Plymouth are so far west that they‘ve fallen off the globe and therefore do not exist. One day Francis Drake, or likewise, shall discover them and include them as some far off colony.

Why are you worried? Let them assume what they want 🤣 We will bat away a big from Arsenal for Mitoma and possibly sign a wonder kid from Bosnia.
No value in January will be rolled out to the disappointed few who will moan for a few days.

As Albion are already through, the journey will continue. So a draw or a defeat is cushioned. It would be better to win, but not a disaster if they don't. That's about it really.
Free hit nothing to lose - everything to win / gain though…

Imagine watching the next round (of 24 I guess it is technically) seeing who we want to get through to the last 16 knowing we’re already there and resting 🥰

I have to say that this tournament feels like the magic that the FA Cup brought when I was young. Like the '83 cup run. I never get that feeling of anticipation. But yesterday I woke and sat at my work station and lamented that there was still three days to go. Such excitement.
