California is on Stirlingshire near Falkirk. Houston is a someone as said already a town near Paisley in Renfrewshire. Is Hollywood not in Northern Ireland? I think it's where Rory McIlroys is from.

How about Moscow?

The one between Belfast and Bangor is Holywood.Hollywood is Birmingham B47,even though some locals prefer to call it Worcester!

whats with grinstead?
and why only a east and west and not a north and south?

You can be assured that, if there had been a North and South Grinstead, Beeching would have cut those bloody lines too.

I guess it could be argued that the fortune teller did do her one favour - made her avoid Hull all her life. How is that dump our new city of culture FFS?

"It's a Hull of a place" is all the culture I need.

Correct. We toured all round the Scottish coastline whilst we lived up there, some amazing places.

Very true, saddens me that some people are in such a rush to travel the world (telling you all about in on Facebook of course) yet have never visited all those amazing places that are on their doorstep. I'm very biased towards the peaks so will always give them a shout out but Scotland and in particular the Highlands and Islands are truly stunning. And generally quiet....
