Well at 1600hrs today (generally hottest time of the day here) the temperature on the terrace is 42c. That's with the toldos out shading the tiles. Ignore the time on the unit, only inserted battery recently and forgot to reset.

That gauge needs a bloody good clean

Could have competed with, but not beaten, that temperature yesterday but a bit cooler today in SW France

Seems that we’re paying the price (here in the UK) for a glorious flaming June.

Much of July so far, and the forecast for the next couple of weeks, has been/is disappointingly autumnal: unsettled and often windy. No more heatwaves on the horizon.

21 here in Faversham. A little humid. 22 to 24 expected for rest of the week.

Nothing to not like.

44° in the shade in inland Murcia🥵
Seriously, people are soon going to start avoiding Southern Spain in the summer. Possibly the whole of southern Europe. I just can't see the point of flying off somewhere that's so hot you can't enjoy it. Having said that, I've just spent 4 days in Norway and it was bl00dy hot there! (albeit the late 20s/early 30s)
