Strongest possible for first half, hopefully we will in a position to sub and rest players in second half

I would rest any player called up for international duty and pick the strongest team left
So you’re resting Mac Allister, Bounanotte, Caicedo, Sarmiento, Estupinan, Ferguson, Sanchez, Lamptey, Gilmour, Enciso, Moran, Van Hecke and Mitoma.

But APART from that, you’ll go strong?

Just for fun, that starting lineup could look like this:

----------------Steele

-------Webster---Dunk------Colwill

Veltman------------------------Van Hecke

--------Gross ----Ayari----March

------------Welbeck Undav

I'd still be confident...

I’d imagine Colwill will be named in the U21 squad tomorrow, so that’s him out…

Ayari and Van Hecke too. Probably.

All the meat on the BBQ.

Winning the FA Cup is everything.

Nobody ever went into town for an open top bus party for qualifying for the Europa conference.

He got booked for that? Blimey
I assume the crackdown on players waving imaginary cards (that never seems to actually be applied) also goes for managers too, hence the booking.

The refs are nothing but consistent in their inconsistency.

Worthing
Didn’t Sow Amp Ton rest lots of their ‘stars’ in the 5th round against GTFC? Yes , we are better than Stains but let’s not underestimate the Mariners. Strongest possible 11 gets my vote.

Go strong from the start and win.
Don't care which keeper, both good.
Keep same back 4 as yesterday. Then Maybe go for both Welbeck and Ferguson upfront just to keep their centre backs occupied. Therefore, rest one of Gross, Mac or Moises.

I fully expect them to try and kick us off the pitch. Just hope we don’t pick up too many injuries.
Nah, we’re not that sort of team at all. Industrious yes, we have players who will run themselves into the ground on Sunday no matter what prevails in the pitch, but not dirty. Our manager Paul Hurst is a decent bloke who likes decent people in the changing room, it is not in his makeup to send his team out to kick lumps out of the opposition.

Naturally, there’ll be a bit of gamesmanship. Don’t expect us to take many quick goal kicks for as long as we’re not losing, and in the highly unlikely event we’re in front with a few minutes to go, you can bet your bottom dollar our ‘keeper will need lengthy treatment for ‘cramp’. Our second penalty at Southampton was a hundred different shades of ridiculous, but it was simply a case of play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I think some old stereotypes prevail about the lower leagues. We’re not a team of overweight, kebab eating, lager swilling meatheads. Our players are professional athletes - no different to look at than Brighton’s players (only with less expensive haircuts, I’d imagine). It just happens that man for man, your players are that bit quicker, stronger and more technically gifted than ours. We’ll do what we have to to try and level things a little, but within reason.

Thanks for the reasoned response, I was just expecting the, seemingly unjustified, worst outcome.

It’s the quarter final of the fa cup ! Anybody who doesn’t say ‘put strongest team out’ is a tit and doesn’t have a clue.
