I have no idea, but the media where creaming over him last year (rightly so some of the time) but his finishing and crossing is no better than Lennon, There seems to be some myth around Lennons final ball and Walcotts.

Terry should have got a 10 just for playing. I think a lot of people in his position would have said "I'm not playing until evrybody that is booing me is either moved to the Egypt section or kicked out of the ground", and quite rightly too.

Andy Townsend was excellent last night, at every opportunity he was slagging off the boo boys.

It amazes me that these are the people that will stop us winning the world cup (obviously not the only reason) yet they are the same ones that will point the finger at others when we actually don't win it.

I think Walcott was certainly trying last night and the first half an hour he looked lively...But it must be recalled that Wenger very rarely plays him a full game, he has had some significant injuries and to expect him to go straight into an International game against a side that at times last night made all of our team look very ordinary was always going to end in tears.

Its seems to be a British trait to build players up, like after the Croatia match when you would have thought he was the second coming of Christ, and then take a delight in crucifying him when he is out of form.I think we need to lay off him and allow him to get his confidence back as it shows at times, he is a genuinly good young English player and could be a world cup winner.

But whatever everyone says there is one person whose opinion holds most sway and that is the bloke who took a team from failing pathetically to qualify for a European Championships to one who who completely dominated the group...if capello thinks he deserves a game, then that is fine by me...after all, what the hell do I know( or the so called press pundits) compared to Capello

person i know who is a season ticket holder at the emirates said similar

i do think though that he plays far better for england than arsenal - the way fabio has the team playing seems to suit him in terms of running at people as opposed to 100 pass moves.

that being said, he was gash last night and he cant live off that night in croatia for much longer. lennon needs to get fit for the world cup as i dont think wright-phillips is up to it either

Regardless of whether the booing is right or wrong, if he had refused to play then I would never like to see him in an England shirt again.

Thought Milner looked superb whilst he was on.

Every World Cup tournament there seems to be one player who really stands out and makes a big name for himself. I have a feeling this could be Mr Milners year.

I believe Walcott will come good: he needs a few games to regain his touch. A greater concern - or possibly a blessing in disguise - is that Defoe was once again found out. He cannot perform for England. Crouch/Rooney combo is the one for me.

he performs for england either off the bench or alongside the target man - which, should owen not make it, means he will have a role in the squad to play should we need a goal with 20 minutes remaining or (heaven forbid) should something result in rooney being unavailable

last night showed rooney and defoe doesnt work together - hopefully, capello will have learnt from that before the opening game of the world cup rolls around

I would have been happy to see him refuse to play. It might finally get the point through to the mindless idiots that booing is not acceptable.

Booing at poor performance is IMO still not right but at least I can see the reasons for this.
