Sad that you missed out Clamp. To believe in Father Christmas was one of the best things about being a very small kid. It didn't last long but I loved it. Well played my dearly departed parents.
Not sure my parents would have been happy if I had succeeded with the booby trap I laid for Father Christmas.

Right from the start I never got the point of him. The presents were from my parents etc. What was the point is sending them to an old bloke in the North Pole and making him deliver the lot in one night ? I kept asking them and they didn't seem certain on their answer.

Just to add to the Jewish Christmas debate, my Jewish mum is a Christmas obsessive. My wife's Muslim family and my brother in law's Hindu family all buy into the whole Christmas rigmarole. Whilst I have met the real Father Christmas in Tomteland, I realised he wasn't dropping stuff off to my house when my mum started explaining our presents: This is from Uncle Tom in Ireland, that is from Aunty Linda in California etc. It completely shattered the illusion.

About 8 on a bus to school, I decided to fight the guy who told me Santa didn’t exist. One of only two fights I’ve had in my life, the other one still embarrasses me when I think about it, I kicked the guy in the head when he was on the floor. i was about 12

We’ve told our kids that the presents don’t all come from Santa, to avoid santas love comparison if they talk about presents with their mates or other kids at school, this also serves as a nice cover story when we are seen wrapping “other people’s presents”

My 10 year old stopped believing last year but my youngest still believes qnd Christmas behaviour compliance still works. Won’t be for much longer as hes started questioning the logistics and is suspicious of the magic elf on a shelf

I do remember our son getting a pool table for Xmas. "I still don't think I believe, but I searched the whole of this house last night (Xmas eve), and there definitely wasn't a pool table in here last night" :lolol:

I stopped believing yesterday when we went 3-0 down, all presents clearly come from the Albions defence

Our parents had an arrangement with next door. Thus searches were fruitless.
