I'll be happy with over £500k to be honest. Anything nearer £750k or above will be a bonus.

I think the Virgo thing was a freak occurrence and we can't expect similar money, despite the England U21 thing

I still think we could get decent money for him because...

He is young and been with club since a kid.
Regular U21 International.
Left footed.
Played quite a few first team games for his age.

Our only "against" was that he was out of contract, but I reckon £1million+ could be on the cards. More realistically I would settle for £500K + extra payments for future progress. Anything more is a bonus.

Are you mad? That's what Leeds were reported to have offered. Harding played virtually every game last season and he's an England under 21 international for f*** sake. The precedents are nearer to 1.5m - 2million, Tom Huddlestone for England under 21's etc. I'm not saying we'll get that but anything less than £750, 000 - 1 million plus add ons and we will have been royally shat on.
