Got my daughter and her tosspot other half coming over, they think I've spent 800 quid but in fact I got the lot from Poundland, still gonna ask him for a hundred towards it though.

My dad spent £100 which annoyed me, that money could have paid for a few away games :(

Anyway i'm going to Lewes bonfire (which is free!) so anything in comparison seems less spectacular

Hmmm you could be in trouble when the fireworks go off..

Why spend money on fireworks when you can go to Lewes and have a choice of 6 firework displays? seems a no brainer to me!

I am going to save £800 and watch the people over the road's display. Or go to Dyke Road Park with the boy and watch the Cricket Ground (the girl hates fireworks) and make further saving on their entrance fee. Then next Saturday, my front step, for Balfour, no donation required. A saving of around £ 850. Magic.

Not spent anything on them this year, seems even Mini has lost interest now

Nothing spent on fireworks. Many people in my age group will have been put off by the horrific images on TV and photos of kiddies with half their face disfigured , hands blown off or melted into a stump , legs amputated after a banger has exploded in trouser pockets . etc , etc.
