Far too much, well not so much we're in debt or anything like that, but far more than we needed to have spent.
My problem was we went out and did a big shop for the children which was fine, but I had been picking up bits and bobs all through the year for them, when I pulled it all out I realised we have have spent a fortune. But because it was all a game here, a toy there it never really felt like it 'added up'
That said, the most money was spent on my husband. He better have something darn special for me!
About £200 in total, it might not seem like a great deal but with all the Christmas parties, going out etc it really does mount up, and you know in return you'll get lods of crap gifts like a ton of socks in exchange.
I reckon i can do about £100 overall.
My girlfriend and i finished a decade of days ago, so that has saved me about a ton.
Just need now to get myself that quorn Christmas Day dog mould.
i would say just over a grand that i know about ,we plan ahead, and i havent missed the dough, thats on my kids(i have 4).as for friends and rest of family, max 300
