I stuck some money in RBoS at lunchtime today. Fortunately it's only money I've gained through "playing" in the market over the last 2 months so don't stand to lose anything even if they go belly up, but I can't resist a gamble.
Lost about £67 (of my £1000 investment) during the afternoon. I expect to lose some more of that tomorrow, judging by the direction of the DJIA.

Nothing... but it doesn't look like a good time to be working for one of the major banks

I had 2 endowments to pay off the mortgage after a 25 year term but kept them going after paying off our mortgage 8 years ago , with red warning letters estimating I would only get back what I was paying in after they matured as there were no bonuses being added , I cashed them in.
