£78.1m according to Transfermarkt.

But that figure would surely more than double if we get Gomez, Gruda, O’Riley, Hummels and Kadıoğlu. Smashing business if we can get it done.

With Grodan Boll it should be over £100m, which was also my prediction back in the beginning of the window.

We're going to spend at least £100m this summer without letting much go. We go into the transfer window where due to the changing financial landscape we're in a very, very strong position and we'll use it wisely.

It may end up closer to £150m in the end. Not surprised!

People shouldn't think that this is the new norm though - in a year, we're back to making profit.

Last season stands at a higher spend

€206.37 m (edit correction - €109.5m - not sure where I got the other figure from 😳)
Baleba
Pedro (record)
Verbruggen
Osman
Igor
Barco

(I’m not sure which budget Osman cam out of)

So far this season our spend is €91.m

It sounds like Gomez and Gruda are nearly/maybe done deals. I'd be amazed if we added more than one of Ferdi, O'Reilly or Hummels. Doesn't Gruda mean we won't now go for O'Reilly?

Is there a change in the way PSR is calculated in the future?
It's almost as if Tony Bloom is filling his shopping trolley while he is still allowed to.

O'Reilly very unlikely
Hummels it sounds like wont happen

Just down to Ferdi

If not then hope we have another RB/RWB coming in. It's the glaring area we are weakest now. Veltman is decent enough if rediscovers form but we need really an upgrade in fitting with this summers business. Also 1 injury to him and we are back to square pegs in rounds holes.

Tariq Lamptey, who was one of the best players during the awful spring, is the most natural RWB in the squad.
