How much, from whom and when was your first proper pay packet?

I can't remember how much I think it was £8 a day. Mucking out the horses stables at the local riding school. About 1988 I think.

That later turned into free keep for my horses.

£5.00 a week basic, The Dyke Golf Club, i was assistant professional to Brian Hemsley back in 1970, but 4 days of the week i was allowed to play a member for my fee, which was £1.00, so every time i won i actually got £2.00, and i only ever lost once, so i got an average of £13.00 a week, plus the members used to see me ok on the weekends for cleaning there clubs and shoes, all in all i probably came away with about £20.00 a week, .....A BLOODY FORTUNE !!!
