A lot of people on here dont realise that players are on a basic wage but on top of that they get a bonus for what ever position the club are in the League on a Monday morning.The higher they are the bigger the bonus.

Plus also they used to get a bonus when the crowd at games was above a certain number.It used to be above 10,000 a few years back

So no bonuses for the home games then:nono:

I know a player at Hucknell Town, Conference North. Who picks up £300 a week,and what bonus are we paying for being 24th?:shrug:

appearance bonuses....

altho some dnt seem to appear much out on the field....

If a pro plays for 15 years and is on a grand a week he will have grossed 750k. Even someone earning 20k a year will need to work from leaving full time education to near retirement to match this. It's even worse if you are on minimum wage when you realise it will take 75 years. Up here in Grotty Grimsby when the Codheads beat Spurs in the Carling the papers revealed the players were on a £75 win bonus and there was uproar amongst supporters when they found out it was per man and not to be shared out !
