Yeah, I have a lot of clothes, so only do a couple of loads a week.
Funny isn't it - I'd have thought that a washing machine was a necessity for everyone - but you've just proven that it isn't!

Would without a doubt be more expensive if it was in the outside world.
Personally I'd usually go through 4 loads a week, at we'll say £3.50 = 15 quid, 15*52 = 780 quid. That'd buy one of those hyper Dyson washer dryers let alone a bog standard washing machine... even if it was only £2, unlikely, its £400 a year.

So did I actually. I was looking at flats for next year, and about half of them don't have washing machines. At £500 a month, I'd expect a washing machine for that. One of them offered a coin operated communal washing machine. I didn't fancy that either.
To be honest, I'm the kind of person who would happily hand wash their clothes if necessary.
pssst if you meant to start a new thread you f**ked up
yes yes i know......
By jove, I think you are right. We are making the same point. Who would have thought itI think we are making the same point.
Don't appreciate the Duh comment.

That was a generic "Duh", aimed at all those people who don't see debt as being debt.
Don't worry, you'll be in no doubt when I aim a "duh" at you.
Lets change the example to say - a dishwasher, which many people believe is a necessity.
Dishwasher - have one - it was built into the kitchen of the house that I (boo hiss) bought. It rarely gets used though - I'd say less than once a month on average.
Did you not have it insured?
...a quick straw poll here shows that only my boss has about the same - and he's an Abercrombie & Fitch wearing, shopping-trip-to-Dubai taking sort...
Can happily live without a dishwasher
