The traditional lap of appreciation is going to have a strange feel to it, isn't it?

How much appreciation will you be directing at our departing manager?

He’s leaving the club in a bad state.
Of course he's not. The club is in the finest hands its ever been in. Whatever happens tomorrow we will be at least equalling our third best ever league finish. The best and second best were the previous two seasons. With or without a manager, the club is in a fantastic state. The calibre of coaches who will be in contention to replace him will be testament to that.

I’m sure Tony has a few ideas but the club must be an exciting proposition for any young progressive manager.

He’s leaving the club in a bad state. I’m not sure I’ll be celebrating. It would have been better for him to stay and strengthen over the summer.
And you really think the club would allow him the funds to strengthen the squad?
