How many will GLEN MURRAY get this year?

Indeed. I would say 1 in 2 is prolific.

I think 1 in 2 is the absolute MINUMUM of prolificacy.
In the unlikely event of Glenn playing 40 games next season, I feel he would need to score 25 goals to justifiably earn the moniker of being 'prolific'.
He's more likely to be profligate though, isn't he.

Murray will flop but get a measley 12 goals,i just don't have faith in him and would prefer it if he was 3rd choice striker.

You haven't even seen him play have you?? :lolol:

17 is nowhere near prolific. Fairly standard for a striker who plays 40-odd games.

I'll go for 18.

4 utterly pointless red cards:

1 for two booking offences (two dives)
1 for head-butting a linesman for no reason when we are 3-0 with 2 seconds to go
1 for spitting at a ball boy
1 for not clapping the fans

A lot will depend on which promised extra striker we sign, or whether we actually do. If he's battling this mystery man and Barnes for a lone spot ahead of a 5 man midfield again (a few if's in there admittedly) then he'll do well to get more than 15, even though he's obviously got the ability to go 20+.....

If he plays the majority of the games he could easily get 20, however his disciplinary and injury record means that probably won't happen.

People are weary of the uncertainty and petulance surrounding Murray in the time he's been here, and understandably so. In fact, he has had the habit of scoring goals in the nick of time to prevent him being totally rubbished from the stands.

My sneaky suspicion and hope is that if he gets off to a flier this season, we really could the very best out him.

That would be great. He is a class player. We need players to provide the passes though. I am not sure where the creativity is going to come from.
