As a George Best-idolising Belfastard, will always take an interest in the fortunes of Man U (much more so when I was a kid), Hibernian, Glentoran (his boyhood team) and San Jose Earthquakes but as an Albion season-ticket-holder, can only genuinely say that I "support" one team...

Brighton
3. Brighton, Rangers and Sussex.

The other sports I like, horse racing and golf don't really have teams.

The OP asks the question about how many teams do we "support"; which is a somewhat ambiguous phrase, as others have observed. He then expands it, saying "...I genuinely care about the results...". Using the latter definition of "support", I genuinely care about the results of two teams: Albion & Oakland Raiders. I used to care about the England Football team, but no longer do. I'm interested, to varying degrees, in maybe 4 or 5 other teams' results when I see them, but don't even make a special effort to track them down these days.

The Albion, England and SCC. I voted one because Im talking about football clubs not national or another sport altogether.

If you support more than 1 football team, you dont really support any ;-)

Different sports is fine clearly.

Just an occasional 'plastic daytripper' for other sports.
